Referral and Initial Contact
Your referral is scanned and entered into our system. Our practice team will contact you to verify your details, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of your information.

Review and Allocate
Your case is carefully reviewed and triaged by our team to determine the most appropriate specialist and care plan. We use a triage system to ensure all urgent referrals are seen in a timely manner.

Medical History Form
To help us gain an understanding of your health background, you will be required to complete a medical history form. This form is completed on arrival at your appointment to ensure up-to-date and accurate information.
Patient Registration
You’ll receive a Patient Registration package, which includes your appointment details, charges, and a registration form. This will be sent to you via mail or email, based on your preference.

First Appointment with the Specialist
You will attend your first appointment, where the specialist will review your medical history and discuss your concerns. This may include the requirement of a scan or blood test prior to the appointment, or on-the-day investigations, such as measuring urinary flow, to aid your diagnosis. Your specialist will then outline a potential plan forward, including any recommended tests or treatment options.
If you are being seen by A/Prof Brennan, your appointment may also include a 40-minute consultation with Ms Jana Middlemis, Nurse Practitioner. This step involves a detailed history and examination to provide a comprehensive assessment.

Next Steps
Before leaving, our practice team will ensure you are clear on the next steps in your care journey. This could include scheduling follow-up appointments, organising further tests, or commencing your treatment plan.
Informed Financial Consent
All of our specialists operate in both public and private hospitals. If you choose to proceed with care in the private setting, you will receive a comprehensive and clear costing prior to any surgery or procedure, ensuring full transparency.
