Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)

A non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland, which may cause urinary discomfort.

At Goldfields Specialists,

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, or BPH is a common condition affecting many men as they age.

Goldfields Specialists provides supportive and informed care to help patients manage symptoms and maintain their quality of life.

What is Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)?

BPH is characterised by the non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland, which surrounds the urethra. As the prostate enlarges, it can obstruct the flow of urine, leading to symptoms such as frequent urination, a weak urine stream, or difficulty fully emptying the bladder. While BPH is not cancerous, its symptoms can affect daily comfort and urinary health, making evaluation important.
